ATBS to offer free seminars for owner-operators at Great American Trucking Show
It’s
been over 5 years since the last recession, and both the economy and truckers
are also showing signs of financial recovery.
In
2014, the number of owner-operators (for-hire businesses where the owner still
drives) increased for
the fourth consecutive year to 174,700. That’s only 800 below the pre-recession levels of
2007.
Additionally, according to
ATBS, owner-operators
also achieved a 7 percent income increase above the 2013 average.
Freight
demand, the driver shortage, and the price of diesel are all contributing
factors in the the economic recovery of common truckers. However, the editors
of Overdrive and ATBS believe more can be done to positively contribute to
this trend.
This
year they are partnering to offer free, one hour seminars at the 2016 Great
American Trucking Show.
Overdrive’s
Partners in Business program covers the basics that will help you earn the most
revenue and cut wasted costs. Produced by Overdrive and ATBS, the
nation’s largest owner-operator financial services provider, free Partners
in Business seminars will be held at The Great American Trucking Show Aug.
28-29.
